Babylon’s Fall was an action role-playing game developed by PlatinumGames and published by Square Enix. Released on March 3, 2022, for PlayStation 5, the game featured cooperative multiplayer and a live-service model. Players assumed the role of Sentinels, warriors equipped with the unique Gideon Coffin device, enabling them to wield up to four weapons simultaneously. The game was set in a fantasy world, where players ascended the massive Tower of Babylon, battling enemies and collecting loot. Despite the promising premise, Babylon’s Fall received generally unfavorable reviews from critics and players. The game's visuals, combat mechanics, and live-service elements were widely criticized. The player base dwindled rapidly, leading to the game's servers being shut down on February 27, 2023, less than a year after its release.
